April 21, 2013 @ the Flea

Many things to admire on an utterly gorgeous day at the Alemany Flea.  Very little came home with me, but much could have  . . . .  Themes this week included Victorian furniture in need of much love, pretty floral patterned porcelain and antique books.

These opalescent candle holders made it home with me.

As did this carnival glass; it just glows.  Remember trying to flick coins into glasses at state fairs?

Glow!

Another TST find this week!  This dealer knew what she had, but I gave in at $15.

Detail

In full

The front row is part of a Sevres set

Pretty Japanese porcelain

All just perfect for a light spring dinner.  Don't you want to plate some asparagus and strawberries  right now?

Would have loved for the garden

The powder blue matte is lovely

Good bones in a variety of Victoriana, all in need of attention

Liked very much, but the price was steeper than warranted give the dreadful interior

Huge book of SF newspaper from 1914; definite conversation piece

A bible published in 1844 and inscripted in 1869.  There is some history.
